Ms. Mahoney, Laboratory Director of Center for TOX Services, Inc., has had managerial responsibilities in the testing of competition animals for performance-based drugs for the past 35 years. She has been an active member in the national organizations for animal toxicological services.
In 1989, she was elected to serve as the Association of Official Racing Chemist's (AORC) representative to the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) Quality Assurance Program Committee. In 1994, she was elected Chair of the AORC U.S. section. During her tenure, Ms. Mahoney served as Chair of the ARCI Laboratory Accreditation Committee which established national drug testing standards for racing laboratories. She currently holds a Fellow membership in the AORC.
With combined analytical toxicological experiences of more than 60 years, the laboratory staff consists of five analysts with Bachelor degrees in science. Each analyst is an expert in performing and evaluating the routine and confirmation procedures required to detect and identify drugs in the urine and/or blood samples of competition animals. CTS is a participant in the AORC and the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency (CPMA) Proficiency Test Programs. |
